Enter the label rate and total mix to prepare to get exact product and water volumes. Always follow the registered label.
In NZ, using a pesticide at higher than label rates is illegal under the HSNO Act and can invalidate your liability insurance. Under-dosing may result in treatment failure and resistance development. Always use the rate stated on the registered label.
Fill the sprayer with clean water, spray over a measured 100 m² area at your normal walking pace and pressure, then measure the water used. If you used 5 L for 100 m², your application rate is 50 mL/m² (or 50 L/1000 m²). Calibrate before every job as nozzle wear changes output.
Minimum PPE for most general-use pesticides: chemical-resistant gloves, safety glasses or goggles, and waterproof apron. For restricted-use pesticides or those with higher hazard ratings under HSNO, a respirator and full chemical-resistant suit may be required. Always check the product SDS.
